Dialectic Chaos

Night divide day, day erase night
A rat scurries across the plain,a bird in flight
A predator looms, hunting for it's prey
One escapes doom,so die another day

Step on the moon, which eclipsed the sun
Man in space,we answer to none
Sun burns the earth barren, people hung out to dry
A man conquers mountains, yet so many hopeful are destined to die

Bound forever by the limits of this world
And yet there is thought, freedom unfurled
Restricted by gravity, inertia holds us in place
But the mind flies free, moves without a trace

The cogs turn on, grind against one another
Stranger saves a life, brother kills brother
One buys and the other sells, the clock hand circles for eternity
So many are so different, yet are bound by fraternity

Equilibrium is the constant of existence
Time erodes doubt, no question of resistance
A baby born utters a cry, a man gives out his dying groan
Birth by force, death by design, into this world we're thrown

Perception, power of the mind so profound
But each one differs, the true answer is to be found
What is good and what is evil, none worthy to decide
But neither ceases to fight, and the bout won't go to either side

There is eternal struggle, each element hoping for lasting victory
But it cannot happen, for to the divine balance this is contradictory
Night divides day, and is darkest before the dawn
Day erases night, and in this endless cycle life goes on
